HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Gulfstream’s big Derby Party Saturday will also have a 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover of $868,363.83.

First race post at Gulfstream will be 12:35 p.m. The Silks Simulcast Center will open at 9 a.m. to accommodate first race post at Churchill Downs of 10:30 a.m.

Gulfstream’s 12-race program will also include the $75,000 English Channel and $75,000 Honey Ryder, both turf stakes for 3-year-olds colts and fillies. The Rainbow 6 sequence will begin with the seventh race, a maiden claimer at a mile, and will include both stakes.

The Kentucky Derby is expected to go off at approximately 6:45 p.m. The 20-horse field includes nine horses who competed at Gulfstream this winter, including Florida Derby (G1) winner Audible, runner-up Hofburg, and Fountain of Youth (G2) winner Promises Fulfilled.

Gulfstream will offer drink and food specials throughout the property, including Maker’s Mark Mint Juleps in souvenir Derby glasses. Frankey’s Sports Bar will also offer Derby and Cinco de Mayo drink and food specials.

Multiple tickets with all six winners in Friday’s Rainbow 6 returned $4,362.68. There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover Saturday of $6,942.61.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
